March 2016 Is the Sixth Temperature Record-Breaking Month in a Row, according to Slate. They didn’t even wait a few months to give us time to forget all of the snow we got in March. In fact, they published that story on 16 April – a week before all of these stories about a “Colorado blizzard.”

This was my car this morning. Snow and ice; I had to pull out a scraper to clear the windshield. Remember this in August, when the media uses the hot weather and short memories to re-post their annual “This is the warmest year on record!” propaganda pieces.
Mind you, I don’t actually object to this weather myself – I find it preferable to the cloud of pollen which would normally be strangling me at this time of year – but I can’t help noticing that, if they discuss this at all, that this is just “weather,” while the summer heat will be “climate.” Loki blames this weather on his brother Thor, which is exactly as credible a claim as anthropomorphic global warming.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has recently posted an official denial of the existence of mermaids: “No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found.” This happens at the same time that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has seized the internet domain BelieveInMermaids.com – Exactly what are they trying to hide?
Daily Mail Online — The earthquake that devastated a city in New Zealand tore open a new 11ft faultine in the Earth’s surface. … The quake was caused by the continuing collision between the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates, said Professor Mark Quigley, of Canterbury University. ‘One side of the Earth has lurched to the right … up to 11ft and in some places been thrust up,’ he said. …
…even Gaia, the Earth Mother herself, is lurching to the right as 2010 progresses.
Good thing I added this bozo to my “Do Not Watch” list over a decade ago.
Stone announced yesterday that a 10-hour crash course in the history of the 20th century he is putting together for American TV is designed as an antidote to the inaccuracies and biases he believes exist in the conventional historical narrative dished out in American schools and mainstream media. The title alone gives an inkling of what lies ahead: Oliver Stone’s Secret History of America. … “Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and it’s been used cheaply,” he said. Then he mentioned the S word. “Stalin has a complete other story. Not to paint him as a hero, but to tell a more factual representation. He fought the German war machine more than any person.” Then he went on to mention two M words – Chairman Mao and Joseph McCarthy, architect of the 1950s anti-communist purges in Washington, and the T word – Harry Truman’s dropping of the atom bomb in 1945.
Given the crap we’ve gotten from Oliver Stone in the past over Vietnam, Wall Street, JFK, Nixon, George W. Bush, Fidel Castro, and Hugo Chávez; this hack is the absolute last person (well, OK, maybe Mikey Moore has his beat) to be accusing other people of “inaccuracies and biases”, and to be touting himself as “an antidote”.
