Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

31 July 2010

According to Matt Lewis (H/T Hot Air):

Brian Stelter, who reports on TV and digital media for The New York Times, sent out a tweet the other day that drew lots of attention… “Fox, as we all know, has biggest audience in prime time. But among African Americans, it’s smallest – 29k vs. 134k for CNN, 145k for MSNBC.” This of course, played into the “Fox is racist” meme, and, not surprisingly, Stelter’s words were retweeted many times (and also inspired several media blogs to further discuss Fox News’ lack of diversity). Interestingly, though, the media site where Stelter primarily blogs (New York Times’ Media Decoder) suffers from the lowest percentage of African-American readers (4.6%) when compared to comparable media sites like Mediaite (5.8%), Gawker (6.4%), Mediabistro (9.2%), etc. Maybe he should have checked that first?

As others (MSNBC, NAACP, etc.) have learned, he who lives by fraudulent claims of raaaaacism will eventually die of fraudulent claims of raaaaacism.

Domestic Terrorism

31 July 2010

Glendale, Colorado — Walter Edmund Bond, a 34-year-old animal rights activist from Salt Lake City, Utah was jailed Thursday [22 July 2010] after he allegedly burned down a sheepskin factory in Colorado. According to Denver Fire Department investigators, a fire was set on April 30th at the Sheepskin Factory, a business that sells products such as seat covers, shoes, rugs, and blankets. The fire resulted in $500,000 worth of damage, destroying the building and it’s contents. Officials determined that the fire was intentionally set. … Investigators say a man using the nickname “A.L.F. Lone Wolf” posted the following message over the internet: “Be warned that making a living from the use and abuse of animals will not be tolerated. Also be warned that leather is every bit as evil as fur, as demonstrated in my recent arson against the Leather Factory in Salt Lake City. Go vegan!” … An informant contacted the F.B.I. after Bond reportedly called them from a payphone and admitted to the arsons. The informant described a prominent tattoo on the suspect’s face, and the word “vegan” across his neck. A meeting was set up at the Ramada Inn in Glendale, Colorado, where he admitted on undercover surveillance video that he had set all the fires. Bond was arrested at a friends house, who stated that the suspect ate two hamburgers containing beef while he was there. Bond had a backpack in his possession, which contained propaganda literature titled “The Declaration of War – Killing People to Save Animals – Strike a Match, Light a Fuse, We Only Have the Earth to Lose.” Bond was booked into jail and charged with one count of arson of property affecting interstate commerce. If convicted, he faces a maximum prison term of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He has not been charged with either Utah incident, although he takes responsibility.

There you go, folks. Another evil violent right-wing tea partier, the kind of savage that horrifies all of those peaceful and tolerant liberals who just want to be let alone while they shred our Constitution.

A Google search on “Walter Edmund Bond” does not reveal a single hit from major MSM sources (CNN, The New York Times, etc.), just local news soruces (Colorado TV stations and papers) and other sites. Compare that to the nationwide furor which would have resulted if he’d burned down an abortion clinic, or left a manifesto which the MSM could have cleverly edited to make him sound conservative.

Let He Who Is Without Brains

26 July 2010

…be first to join Oliver Stone’s cast. There’s a reason why Oliver Stone has been on my “no-watch” list for years, and he’s kind enough to keep reminding me of the soundness of my judgment. Apparently, he feels that “Jewish-dominated media” are preventing the portrayal of Adolf Hitler in the “right context”. (H/T Weasel Zippers)

Director Oliver Stone belittled the Holocaust during a shocking interview with the Sunday Times today, claiming that America’s focus on the Jewish massacre was a product of the “Jewish domination of the media.” The director also defended Hitler and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and railed against the “powerful lobby” of Jews in America. Stone said that his upcoming Showtime documentary series for “Secret History of America,” seeks to put Hitler and Communist dictator Joseph Stalin “in context.”

Forgive me if I’d prefer not to take my history lessons from someone who thinks Hugo Chavez was legitimately elected and George Bush wasn’t. Why isn’t this anti-Semitic moron receiving the same “praise” for his statements as Mel Gibson?

Another Racist Group

22 July 2010

iOwnTheWorld has collected pictures of the known Journolist conspirators – the ones advocating and perpetrating false charges of “racism” against anyone they disagree with – and just check out the diversity…

Check out the comments, too. I almost stole one of them (“Liberal Media: The other white meat.”) for the title of this post. Of course, one of the things that jumps out at me whenever I read excepts from Journolist, the writings of these professional highly-educated media mavens, is how many spelling and grammar errors they contain. Did they learn anything in journalism school besides Marxism and Alinsky?

The Boy Who Cried RAAAAACIST

21 July 2010

(Mainstream media: This highly-diverse crowd are the people complaining about the racist lack of minorities in the Tea Party.) The picture above is Barack Obama mingling with the apparently all-white members of the White House press corps (which is not pronounced “corpse”, Mister President). Just another reminder, as if the non-diverse lineup of MSNBC and the pale editorial board of The New York Times weren’t reminder enough, of the deliberately dishonest double-standards rampant in the media. And, in another case of the mask slipping off and revealing the truth underneath, prominent black activist, Mary Frances Berry (Professor of American Social Thought and History, U. Penn.) admitted this at the Politico (H/T Jim Hoft, GatewayPundit):

Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.

Again, this comes as no surprise to many of us, but in the last few years it’s amazing how many of the people on the left are admitting to such things openly.

Coming this Fall from the DOJ!

14 July 2010

White men can’t  jump  vote. Because if you refuse to prosecute or even acknowledge it, then you’re giving it your approval to continue. Which is almost certainly the point.

NASA Muslim Outreach

11 July 2010

I am truly disgusted that, under Obama, NASA’s new top priority is “making muslims feel good about themselves”. (Obviously they needed to come up with something for NASA to do since it wouldn’t be space exploration anymore.) However, I hadn’t written about it here since everything had already been said elsewhere (and I’ve been updating less in general; lately because I’ve been busy). I couldn’t resist grabbing this, however. Rude and offensive, but not nearly so much as the Obama policy it lampoons.

It’s not like we’re going to be using the shuttles anymore anyway (H/T: iOwnTheWorld)

Obama’s Primary Election Fraud

11 July 2010

Here’s filmmaker Gigi Gaston on Fox & Friends this morning, calling for an investigation into the fraud and voter intimidation Obama and his campaign engaged in back in 2008 and promoting her documentary We Will Not Be Silenced 2008. (H/T: HillBuzz)

All the things that happened during the general election (voter intimidation by the New Black Panther party, etc.) had previously happened in the Democratic primary, where the party apparatus rolled over Hillary supporters in a premeditated effort to give Barack Obama the party nomination. And, like the Obama voter intimidation and fraud that happened in the general election, nobody was interested in investigating the incidents which occurred during the primary. Well, until now.

The story needs to get out and heads need to roll.

Update: The whole documentary can be seen on YouTube. At least, until Google notices the criticism of their Glorious Leader and takes it down.

No Rest For The Wicked

11 July 2010

“I’m not going to rest or be satisfied until the leak is stopped at the source, the oil in the Gulf is contained and cleaned up, and the people in the Gulf are able to go back to their lives and their livelihoods.” -Barack Obama, 14 May 2010

Barack Obama has just finalized plans for his third vacation since the Gulf oil spill and explosion back on 20 April 2010 (H/T: Gateway Pundit). I realize everyone’s first impulse (and heck, mine too) is to complain about the hypocrisy and dishonesty after all of his “I will not rest” speeches, but the fact of the matter is that I feel a hell of a lot safer when he’s far away from the Oval Office and not doing or signing anything.

Scratch Another Item Off Of His Resume

6 July 2010

And here I thought Obama might have actually done something before he was elected President, something for which all records weren’t sealed and hidden from the public. For a couple of years, a rumor has been going around that Obama appeared (at almost exactly the minute mark) in Tag Team’s 1993 video “Whoomp There It Is”:

Apparently last month White House spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield announced that “It’s not him.”

Happy Birthday to the USA!
