During the last presidential campaign, the internet was full of people singing Hosannas to Obama. One of the more famous was Amber Lee Ettinger a.k.a. “Obama Girl”, whose “I Got A Crush… on Obama” video went viral to enlighten millions of other Kool-Aid drinkers, and annoy the rest of us. Well, a lot of people who supported Obama have since come down with serious cases of voter’s regret, and apparently even someone as moonbattish as the “Obama Girl” is one of them. He hasn’t lost her yet, but she “just [doesn’t] have that big crush like [she] used to.”
“Yeah, I mean it was two years ago. If I had this crush on him the same way as I did in the beginning, I’d be the fool. … broken promises. People like, you know, talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. And even with a relationship, you know, once people, your boyfriend or girlfriend doesn’t do what they say they’re going to do, you kick them to the curb. … Well, at least I wasn’t the Edwards Girl, right?“
She and a whole group of other former Obama-worshippers ought to get together to record a cover of REM’s “Losing My Religion.
