Obama on SNL

After Walter Cronkite’s (blatantly biased and dishonest) report on the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, President Lyndon Baines Johnson is reported to have said, “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost Middle America.” Several weeks later, LBJ announced that he would not be running for reelection. After the show last weekend, I have to wonder: Is Barack Hussein Obama on his way to losing Saturday Night Live? And if so, does that mean he might be losing young, mindless-and-trendy America? It wasn’t too long ago that comedians didn’t think that it was even possible to make jokes about Obama, but this sketch (while not being mearly as pointed as some of SNL’s stabs at past presidents) managed to score some hits on Obama while receiving applause and laughs from the audience. And nothing can deflate a world-class ego faster than being laughed at.
